EMC AX150-Series Integrated Management Software Release Notes

New features and changes

The initial release introduced the following new features:

 The AX150 storage system supports SATA II disk drives and the full

complement of SATA II features including support for 3.0 Gb/s data

transfer rates and support for native command queuing (NCQ).

 The AX150 storage system supports N+1 power, enabling the storage

system to continue running if one of its power supplies fails. Two

power supplies are required for the AX150 and AX150i; a second

power supply is optional in the AX150SC and AX150SCi.

 Support for dual iSCSI data ports per SP.

 Support for a Gigabit Ethernet management port.

 Enhancements to the Navisphere Server Utility and Navisphere

Storage System Initialization Utility to streamline the installation

process for iSCSI storage systems.

 Support for up to 10 hosts.
